It's been a long time coming since I've written here.
Well, it was partially my own choice.
I don't know about you, but for a long time now, I feel like we are being bombarded with too many information everyday.
The way we share something everyday...
Especially sharing sth. on social media. Well, it has started to feel too much.
Sometimes I wonder, where all of the things we share will go someday.
Isn't it too much?
Well, I know it's not for me.
Recently, I find myself struggling to reach the kinda information I actually need.
Or to actually find a platform which will make me feel understood.
In the jungle of too much 'info', I frequently find myself feeling 'lost'.
I know it's not just me but...
Does that put me in the category of a 'tortured artist'?
Well, let me tell you: I have always hated that idea.
I believe an artist doesn't have to suffer more than another human being.
The human condition, among many other things, already has 'pain' in it. Maybe inherintly, maybe not.
I believe we all try to avoid it somehow.
So why does an artist has to feel 'more' than that?
Doesn't that mean, as a society, we are sacrificing the artist?
We are sacrificing an artist's right to be happy, don't you think?
I believe a happy artist can create better and more.
And that would be a much more healthy option.
For example, let's take a hypothetical artist now, shall we?.
As a person, she had to face 'involuntary' compettition within her education, as well as the music bussiness, which forced her to become an 'eye candy' at some point in her career.
Which also led her being treated like an object.
And she still might be trying to shake off that feeling,
Still, that's just another example of turning a promising artist into an 'undecisive' heart.
A bruised and broken heart.
Don't let your artist friends become that.
This is a calling to readers who are in the field too;
Do NOT treat your female colleagues like that.
It is important that especially male artists nowadays understand this.
Objectifying a person is inhuman, meaning that you are not treating the person equally and to be honest? It's utterly disgusting!
Artists need each other in the age of AI now more than ever.
Our current technology is becoming way more harder for them. (And there is so much more to say here but... today I'll keep it short.)
As with the words of the amazing 'Sade' :
Don't let them stay home...
And listen to the Blues.
You know what I mean,
Till next time,
Peace & Health
